In the life of a Trucker...

Thursday Gary took Logan to Madison, WI to see if the technicians could figure out
the wiring to the 7way plug on the trailer and why it was making the tractor's turn signal
go off. It only happens when it rains. Dispatch was having a.....shall we say, COW. They
couldn't quite get together with Dave in the trailer dept who wanted it fixed while
dispatch has tons of freight and all they see is a green light for GO. Somebody in the
trailer dept did not order our much needed part. We are talking a Kentucky trailer which
is like a dinosaur. The only place that has the parts is in Kentucky. Nobody stocks the
parts. It was suppose to rain Sunday. Didn't happen. They sprayed in two different attempts underneath the trailer to get it to act up....you know how that goes. If it's not acting up, you can't fix it. So dispatch says, you're off til it's fixed. hmmm. ok. Waiting for rain.... In the meantime, I finished class at 5pm. Grabbed a pop and headed on the road for Madison. Two hours later, I picked up Gary and Logan and went to the hotel. We went to Red Lobster and then watched the movie, " Night in the Museum". What a great movie!! Of course, all night long the guys from the bus load of high school basketball players for the tourney were running up and down the hallway most of the night. Later that day Gary came home. Logan and I left around 1pm for the house. Now he's playing
Xbox 360 with his brother, Dan who lives in CA.

We just switched our router from Netgear to Linksys (wrt300N). What a difference. So much faster and more capability. Just still trying to get everything switched over so it won't be locked out by my WEP security. Just downloaded a free trial version of Microsoft Professional Office 2007...wow, what a difference for spreadsheets. And what's with the Japanese greetings for the Word?!

We only got to about 43 degrees today. Dan and Kim said they were at 105. Whew!

I sent some miniature red Everest boxing gloves to my cousin's new baby, Colton Dallas Moyer who was born at 1.5 lbs or so and is now a whopping 5 lbs. Hoping he will be able to go home soon. He was born in December and wasn't suppose to peek out until this month. He's a lil fighter. I bet the 3 1/2inch gloves are probably too big for him! Can't wait til he gets well enough to go home and we can meet him. They had a shirt made up for him that said little 99 as his dad is #99 for Chicago's Rush Football Team. They won the Super Bowl of Arena Football last year. John put the ring next to Colton and it looked huge! Probably would have fit around his thigh..he was so teeny tiny.
